I went to the Ellipse last night to see the National Christmas Tree. Looking back through the snapshots I took, I had a few thoughts.
The tree was okay, although it looked like someone didn't have much time to decorate it and so they just threw the lights on it. Maybe they had to go vote on a bill and forgot to come back and finish the job. I don’t know.
The other thing that struck me was the nativity scene. How is little baby JC gonna get any sleep with Gabriel blowing his horn right there in the manger. Hopefully, Gabriel isn't doing a Maynard and trying to hit high notes all night. Gives me a headache just thinking about it.
